Abstract:

Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis is commonly used to evaluate the overall accuracy of continuous diagnostic tests. In this research, we propose a generalized pivotal quantity (GPQ) approach to compare the areas under two correlated ROC curves. The GPQ-based empirical powers of the equivalence tests are simulated and compared with those by maximum likelihood and nonparametric methods.
