Abstract:
|
Soundscape ecology explores the health of the environment through the analysis of biological, geological, and anthropogenic sounds of a landscape. Soundscape recordings can be statistically analyzed through acoustic indices that quantify aspects of the landscape's biodiversity over time. In this study, we explore the daily trends of the acoustic indices from various landscapes around the world. Our poster will include an overview of soundscape ecology and the applications of acoustic indices and the outcome of our study of daily trends.
