Abstract:

Lin's concordance correlation coefficient is widely used for measuring agreement between two variables in the statistical literature. It can be computed from means, variances, and the Pearson's correlation coefficient. However, the Pearson's correlation coefficient estimator is biased and so is the concordance correlation coefficient estimator. This study proposes some new concordance correlation coefficient estimators by using the alternative correlation coefficient estimators; Olkin and Pratt estimator, and Haddad and Provost estimator. The performance of the proposed estimators are empirically and analytically studied in terms of accuracy compared to that of the original estimator.
