Abstract:
|
An Ordinal Logistic Regression model with mixed effects was developed using hole-by-hole scores for players in the Masters golf tournament. Data was collected over a 13-year period using the PGA Tour's ShotLink data system. Simulations of the Masters using the OLR model produced probabilities of winning for each golfer, and are compared to Las Vegas odds.
