Abstract:
|
Objectives: Present an effective and comprehensive method for working with data analysts in the development of statistical methods for population health reporting. Methods: The collaborative method involved several steps: 1. Understanding the metrics, 2. Understanding the data, 3. Enumerating the statistical assumption, 4. Agree on the requirements and the best methods to achieve them, 5. To assure consensus hold a group discussion on the proposed methods and 6. Work together to develop of the report. Case Studies: We will illustrate how our collaborative approach works through a case study: estimating the confidence interval for different measurements. Conclusion: Using the process outlined above resulted in a successful collaboration between the data analysts and the Biostatistics group and producing the required report on time.
