ASA REU Experiences at Winona State University

Abstract

In 2016, the American Statistical Association received National Science Foundation funding (Grant No. DMS-1560332) to support three research experiences for undergraduates (REU) sites for year for 2016, 2017, and 2018. Winona State University received REU funding for 2017. The entire evolution of this REU from concept-to-outcomes will be presented. Discussion points will include: application process, student recruitment, identification of appropriate research projects, development of a schedule for day-to-day activities, administrative support, dissemination of research outcomes.
