Abstract:
|
Many statistical problems can be formulated as inferences about Euclidean distances. Through several examples, we shall introduce a principled framework to estimate and test about distances among a large number of objects. We shall also illustrate the methodology through an application in understanding the diversity of Vpu protein sequences from a recent HIV-1 study.
