Abstract:

Are you new to teaching and need help designing assessment for your courses? Are you an experienced teacher who needs an influx of fresh ideas? Are you interested in assessing an entire program? If you answered "yes," then this session is for you!

Assessment is integral to education. Formative assessment is integral to student learning. Great educators work to keep assessment items fresh and optimal for the course setting, even as courses are taught in diverse modalities. Great educators seek to learn from student results at the course and program level. Most importantly, great educators become great because they continually seek new ideas. In this panel we will introduce a number of ideas and share insights through discussion with the audience.
