Abstract:
|
There is a great enthusiasm to use electronic health record (EHR) data to conduct clinical research. However, most of EHR data from cooperate data warehouse (CDW) do not go through rigorous quality control processes as data collected from well controlled clinical studies. In this project, we investigated longitudinal EHR data from CDW and examined pattern of changes and suggested a quality index for individual observations. We evaluated the impact of including all versus only high quality data in association with a few clinical endpoints.
