Abstract:

Merck Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences (BARDS) Statistical Programming team (SP) is developing new graphics solutions to support the graphic needs for our statistical colleagues. Starting with SAS version 9, SAS has advanced their ODS GRAPHICS capabilities (including PROC SGPLOT, PROC SGRENDER, etc.), which greatly enhance the visual effects of SAS plots and more importantly improves ease of use. Capitalizing on these software advancements, a standard team in the SP has provided training workshops to assist statisticians and their peer programmers to learn the ODS GRAPHICS procedures. This poster will display some selected graphics examples from the workshops and solutions developed by statistical programmers across our organization. These works include 1) plots to facilitate GWAS analysis - Q-Q plot and Manhattan plot 2) customized CDF plots to support projects on Novel Bayesian Methodology Estimation of Measures of Differences between Event Rates and 3) enhancements to a professionally published methodology for Propensity Scoring in order to graph treatment versus comparison propensity scores for real-world data users.
