Abstract:

I will present some results on the accuracy of the Kiefer-Wolfowitz nonparametric maximum likelihood estimator for estimating a gaussian location mixture in d-dimensions from i.i.d observations. Our results build on the work of Zhang (2009). I will also present some applications to denoising and clustering. This is joint work with Sujayam Saha at the University of California, Berkeley.
