Abstract:

Increasing expectations in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Athletic Training curriculum has landed sophomore Nursing majors and Athletic Training in a second semester statistics course. This course covers topics such as statistical measures of screening tests, odds ratio and relative risk, ANOVA, non-parametric tests, and multiple regression. In this presentation, I will share strategies and examples that I have used to increase health science students' interest in statistics.
