Abstract:

In this study, we aim to identify variables that contribute to the injury severity level of victims when car accidents happen. Predictive models for injury severity level are developed. We also exploit outside data source such as living expense index to determine the average economic cost of accidents. Our ultimate goal is to develop a paradigm to envision the maximum injury severity level and potential economic cost under different circumstances if a car accident happens.
