Abstract:

Problem solving interviews were conducted with 9 undergraduates enrolled in a first course in statistics that teaches statistical thinking and reasoning through randomization-based methods (e.g., simulation, randomization, bootstrapping). Evidence for the development of the students' statistical thinking throughout the 14-week course will be presented.
