Abstract:
|
Brain imaging is the cornerstone of basic neuroscience and clinical practice in neurology. To understand the brain's functions and mechanisms and their association with various health conditions, neuroimaging studies typically acquire terabytes of complex multi-modality imaging data. While there is a great need for statistical methods that quantify associations involving image data, an important challenge is the balance between the complexity of the methodology approach and the feasibility of the computations. The focus of this roundtable will be the trade-off between computational and statistical efficiency in the analysis of neuroimaging data.
