There are a variety of career opportunities for statisticians and biostatisticians in health policy. The ability to have your statistical work make an impact on health policy can be exciting, intimidating, and rewarding. For those with minimal exposure to this area, it is often unclear what role statisticians can play in the health policy debate and how one's statistical career in health policy could evolve over time. During this roundtable, we will discuss statistical career opportunities in health policy. We will discuss short-term and long-term differences and similarities between statistical positions related to health policy and academia, consulting, and industry.
