Abstract:
|
Motivated by the problem of colocalization analysis of fluorescence microscopic imaging, we study in this paper structured detection of correlation regions between two random processes observed on a common domain. We introduce a size-based normalization for the likelihood ratio statistics and show that scanning with this normalized statistics leads to optimal correlation detection over a large collection of structured correlation detection problems.
