Abstract:

In this poster presentation we discuss the development of an open source R package to provide a collection of frequently used statistical process control charts. Such an R package will offer a set of callable functions to calculate the common control charts for variables, individual measurements, and attributes data when normality is assumed. Academic researchers and practitioners alike will benefit from the developed set of features in the package. In addition to the parameterized functions within the R console, the package will host fully developed Shiny applications within RStudio to augment the user experience. Such Shiny applications will allow user defined parameters for real-time adjustments to SPC measurement tools. Further work, such as expanding the scope of the package, including methods to account for non-normal distributions, measure system capability, and acceptance sampling, will be indicated.
