Author(s): Rebecca Schulthess*
Companies: Eastbay/Footlocker.com
Keywords: Retail ; Personalization ; Modeling
Abstract:

The Quantitative Analyst team at Footlocker works on a variety of projects. In addition to running tests such as A/B comparisons and multiple ad-hoc analyses, we model for emails and catalogs. We utilize various modeling methods to personalize the customer experience. We take in a variety of variables such as purchase history and Census information and come out with the best suite of models possible. In this presentation we will discuss what personalized marketing looks like to not only the Quantitative Analyst, but also to the consumer. We will also look at the skill set needed to perform duties of a Quantitative Analyst at Footlocker.
