Abstract:

For survey statisticians and methodologists, field observation of production-level data collection is a crucial part of our process for research, development, and improvement of operations. In this roundtable, participants will be invited to address the following questions: Does your organization use field observation of data-collection processes? What are the primary goals for your field-observation work? What do you watch and listen for during field-observation work? What are important "lessons learned" your organization has gleaned from field observations?
