Abstract:
|
This presentation provides a brief overview of a research initiative designed to develop clinical decision support tools to optimize matching of patients to treatments of major depressive disorder (MDD) and PTSD in the Veterans Administration. The presentation begins with a review of previous evidence about predictors of heterogeneity of treatment effects (HTE) in MDD and PTSD and previous studies of MDD-PTSD THE, emphasizing the importance but limitations of working exclusively with EMR data. The presentation then discusses the research design and analysis methods used in the current study, which feature the use of expanded predictors applied initially to longitudinal observational data followed by pragmatic trials.
