Abstract:
|
Linked brushing is a powerful technique for multivariate visualisation. It allow you to take multiple low-dimensional views (which are easily understood in isolation) and combine them to get a gestalt of a high-dimensional dataset. In this talk, I'll introduce you to recent work in the R and htmlwidgets ecosystems that allows you to do linked brushing across arbitrary widgets. I'll show some examples of maps (from leaflet) linked with tables (from dt) linked with statistical graphics (from ggvis) linked with time series (from dygraphs)
