Title: Enough with Trickle-Down Reproducibility: Scientists, Open This Gate! Scientists, Tear Down This Wall!
Author(s): Karthik Ram*
Companies: University of California at Berkeley
Keywords: reproducibility ; open science ; data versioning ; data sharing

A vast majority of scientific studies published today remain irreproducible despite reproducibility being widely recognized as the hallmark of good scientific practice. Over the past two decades various tools have emerged to make computational reproducibility more accessible. Yet many of these seemingly popular tools have failed to gain traction.

While there is considerable discussion around versioning and sharing code, researchers often never mention related challenges around archiving, versioning, and sharing research data. In this talk I will discuss some recent developments that may pave the way for large scale data sharing and collaboration around data.

Authors who are presenting talks have a * after their name.
