Abstract:
|
We discuss methods for using Census data to impute missing race and other demographic variables at the individual level. This imputation is crucial for assessing differential healthcare quality and spending by race. Imputation itself is relatively straightforward, but variance estimation for the target estimands is not; we show how to propagate error due to imputation through to the final variance estimate.
