Abstract #316490
Title: Correlations of Patient-Reported Outcomes with PSA and Survival Endpoints in Prostate Cancer Patients
Author(s): Xuemei Li*
Companies: Janssen R&D
Keywords: Correlation ; Patientreported outcome, ; Prostate cancer
Abstract:

Prostate cancer patients often experience mild to severe pain, it is therefore of interest to demonstrate if a new cancer therapy delays pain progression and improve the patient report outcomes (PRO). In many prostate cancer clinical trials, pain and PRO endpoints are included as secondary efficacy endpoints, in addition to PFS and overall survival endpoints. A meta-analysis is performed by pooling several randomized, placebo-controlled prostate cancer trials, correlations of PRO results with PSA response, time to PSA progression, PFS, and overall survival are explored. Suggestions are also made for PRO data collection.
