Abstract:
|
The development of Bayesian methods to model complex phenomena is one of the biggest successes in statistics over the past several decades. However, the large-sample performance of these methods is driven by the likelihood, which is notoriously difficult to specify with perfection. This roundtable will focus on the various proposals to modify Bayesian methods to handle "outliers" and deal with model mis-specification.
