Abstract:
|
The traditional spatial scan statistic based on likelihood ratio has mainly been used to detect clusters for independent data. Autocorrelation arises naturally in spatial count data. To account for spatial dependence and overdispersion of count data, a new direction is proposed that the spatial scan statistic is constructed using quasi-likelihood function. Simulated and real data are examined to illustrate the performance of our method.
