Title: Partial Bayesian Estimation: To Be, to Not Be, or to Be Simultaneously?

Abstract:

In many problems, prior information is only available for a subset of all parameters. In such cases, partial Bayesian estimators--estimators for which a prior is placed only on some of the parameters--may be desirable. Theoretical comparisons of such estimators with fully Bayesian and frequentist estimators are lacking in the literature, however. We investigate the relationship between these three paradigms for a variety of cases, and connect them with simultaneous and sequential partial Bayesian estimation.
