Abstract:
|
In this article, a method for determining the sample size based on the confidence level selected by the user is presented. Unusual data points along with an alternative and approximate form of Cook's Distance formula involving the user selected standard error and confidence level is also presented. Monte Carlo simulation is used to compare the modified version of Cook's Distance against the original formula. The advantage of the proposed version allows the user to include a preselected standard error in the formula while maintaining the relative accuracy of the original formula.
