Abstract:
|
Statisticians at the National Security Agency work on a great many interesting data analysis problems in support of the Signals Intelligence and Information Assurance missions of the United States. Although the NSA is known as the largest employer of mathematicians in the country, we also have a strong need for--and a considerable population of--statisticians. In this presentation, we will discuss the types of problems NSA statisticians work on (some of) the methods we use, how we've built an inclusive mathematics and statistics community in an isolated classified environment, and how we engage with industry and academia.
