Abstract:
|
For cross-over trials with several treatments and or periods, it is often difficult to choose between competing designs. One criterion to help make this choice is the efficiency factor of a design. The R package Crossover which has been written by Kornelius Rohmeyer to accompany the Third Edition of the Design and Analysis of Cross-over Trials by B Jones and MG Kenward provides a simple GUI to choose designs out of a large catalogue of existing designs, or to search for an optimal design using a hill climbing algorithm. In this presentation we define the efficiency factor and illustrate the use of the sofware to select appropriate designs.
