Abstract:
|
We consider the problems of searching for activation in the brain regions by brain images obtained from FMRI, and corresponding functional signal detection. We develop a Bayesian procedure to detect brain activity signals within noisy images when the image is modeled as a rotation space random field. Our procedure is based on the Radon-Nikodym derivative, which is used as the Bayes factor for assessing the point null hypothesis of no signal. We applied our method to data from the Montreal Neurological Institute.
