Abstract #315037
Title: Improved Density Estimators for Contaminated Data
Author(s): Ursula U. Müller*
Companies: Texas A&M University
Keywords: density estimation ; measurement error ; convolution ; deconvolution ; regression
Abstract:

We will present new statistical methods to make more efficient use of data that are contaminated by measurement error, and of 'doubly contaminated' data that also suffer from missing values. We will combine recent advances in the construction of rate optimal estimators for densities of convolutions (which converge with root-n rate) with deconvolution techniques for dealing with measurement errors in the responses and in the covariates.
