Abstract:

Functional MRI has been used to describe functional connectivity of the human brain. Since there is evidence showing changed functional connectivity among patients with mental and psychiatric disorders, functional networks can be used as due to the only recent availability of the data, their high-dimensionality and associated estimation problems, there has been no study yet on genetic association with brain networks. Here we propose a new method for such a purpose, and demonstrate its feasibility through numerical studies, including an application to real data.
