Abstract:
|
Testing gene-gene interaction is critical to understanding how genes jointly affect disease risk. However, identifying interactions is challenging, as the large number of tests not only raises computational concerns but also leads to the problem of multiple testing. Here we present strategies to address these challenges in testing gene-gene interactions using case-parents data on a genome-wide scale. Our strategies are applied to a genome-wide study of multiple sclerosis.
