Abstract #314223
Title: Detecting and Exploiting Relatedness in Large-Scale Genotype Data
Author(s): Brian Browning* and Sharon Browning
Companies: University of Washington and University of Washington
Keywords: haplotype ; identity by descent ; IBD
Abstract:

Detectable relatedness is pervasive in dense genotype data from large population samples. I will present a new method for modeling genotype data that uses relatedness to reduce computational complexity. The method is based on the Beagle haplotype frequency model, but unlike the original Beagle model, the new model incorporates genetic recombination, genotype error, and segments of identity by descent.
