Abstract:
|
It is not uncommon that tumor samples are in fact mixtures of several "clones" and possible also some normal cells. We describe a likelihood based algorithm for determining what percentage of the tumor sample particular clones are from, as well as the copy number alterations of each of these clones, using nowadays quite economical gene array data. We illustrate our results on a cell-line data set of Barrett's esophagus, a pre-curser of esophageal cancer. association for each feature, which provides evidence of feature-level association.
