Modern Dose Escalation Designs for Oncology in East® — Professional Development Computer Technology Workshop
ASA , Cytel Inc.
East®, the industry standard software package for clinical trial design, offers new capabilities to design, simulate, and execute Phase 1 oncology trials to determine the maximum-tolerated dose (MTD). The module allows the user to simulate and compare various options, choose the best design for their trial, support implementation, and communicate with clinicians to guide the dosing decisions. In addition to the popular 3+3 design, the module includes: - modified Toxicity Probability Interval (mTPI) method - Continual Reassessment Method (CRM) - Bayesian Logistic Regression Model (BLRM). We will review the theory for these methods, and their application in East. This CTW provides participants the opportunity to influence further developments on this new dose escalation module.
