Abstract:
|
Statisticians are increasingly being employed alongside software engineers to make sense of the large amounts of data collected in modern e-commerce, Internet, retail, and advertising companies. This brings up a number of questions about best practices in writing statistical software and the team dynamics between software engineers, statisticians, and "data scientists." What attributes do successful hybrid teams have in industry and academia? What are the best practices for building effective cross disciplinary teams?
