Abstract:
|
New drug development is a time-consuming and expensive process. There is in need of advancing innovation in research and development. The adaptive designed clinical trial, one of the innovations, is a method to promote use of pre-specified modifications in the design or statistical procedures of an ongoing trial based on early data generated from the trial and thus make a trial more flexible. In this presentation, we will discuss statistical considerations and implementation strategies. A case study from oncology clinical trial will be presented.
