Abstract:
|
A fundamental problem in testing phylogenetic relationships is comparing two fixed trees. In this talk we will explain why there are difficulties with some existing tests. We will present a range of alternatives, varying in computational complexity, and present results of investigations of performance. The tests will be shown to have good Type I error and power improvements over the most widely-used existing methods.
