Abstract:
|
Low rank representation for massive spatial data has become popular recently. However, there is a discrepancy between the low rank approximation and true correlation structure when the correlation is strong. This project intends to develop a modified optimal low rank model which can better approximate the strong correlation. This model can be used in environmental science to study environmental change as well as to predict the weather condition in meteorology.
