Abstract:
|
In the pharmaceutical industry, the use of innovative trial designs is increasing due to a need for more efficient, safer trials. Trial simulations need to be performed in order to compare different trial designs and ultimately identify the optimal design. The programming and post-processing of complex trial simulation code offer a unique opportunity for the computational statistician to be involved in the design stage of clinical trials. This talk will illustrate the skills and tools a computation statistician will use during the clinical trial optimization process.
