Abstract #312780
Title: Event and Location Analytics for Real-Time Logistics Optimization
Author(s): Michael O'Connell*+
Companies: TIBCO Spotfire
Keywords: Event Analytics ; Geolocation ; Reliability ; Sensor ; Energy ; Manufacturing
Abstract:

This presentation includes modeling of sensor and location data for failures and opportunities; and using such models to remotely monitor real-time events with geolocation context. Applications include optimizing equipment maintenance schedules and machine uptime; as well as on-shelf availability of products and real-time customer segmentation. I will illustrate the methodology using examples from the energy, manufacturing and aerospace industries. For any industry producing, servicing or running expensive machinery, the cost benefits of improved reliability and uptime can be significant. The presentation provides guidance towards best practice statistical models as well as the software infrastructure to support such Event Analytics applications.
