Title: Model Misspecification and Model Checking for Survival Data with Covariate Measurement Error
Author(s): Ying Yan*+ and Grace Yi
Companies: University of Waterloo and University of Waterloo
Keywords: Measurement Error ; Survival Data ; Model Misspecification ; Model Checking
Abstract:

Survival models with covariate measurement error have been studied extensively, and most methods that correct for measurement error effects are developed by assuming a correct error model for the measurement error process. It is not clear what the impact would be if the assumption of the survival model and/or error model are incorrect. In this talk, we study the impact of model misspecification on parameter estimation, and propose an omnibus goodness of fit test to detect departure from the survival model or the error model assumptions. Simulation studies and a real data example are presented.
