Abstract:
|
The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing survey by the U.S. Census Bureau that provides yearly demographic data. Recently the Census Bureau released an online API to give public access to several parts of the Decennial Census and data from the 1, 3, and 5 year aggregates if the American Community Survey (ACS). We will discuss how to use the API to access these datasets, give examples and also discuss some of the shortcomings of the current implementation
