Abstract:

We review the general representation of non local priors as mixtures of truncated distributions. This construction is applied to the definition of non local priors for selection parameters of directed and undirected Gaussian graphical models. Several constructive definitions are explored and related posterior simulation strategies compared. We focus our investigations on parameter estimation in a comparative study. Applications to large scale genomics and proteomics are explored.
