Abstract #311156
Title: Signal Discrimination Without Denoising
Author(s): Ferebee Tunno*+ and Ashton Erwin
Companies: Arkansas State University and Arkansas State University
Keywords: signal plus noise ; bounded area ; arc length
Abstract:

This talk reveals that a certain class of tests for autocovariance equality between stationary autoregressive moving average (ARMA) processes can also be used to discriminate between harmonic signals embedded in noise without the need for any reconstruction or modeling. An application involving functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is presented.
