Abstract:
|
This roundtable will discuss teaching K--12 teachers to teach the modeling, probability, and statistics sections of the common core. With 45+ states on board and few teachers qualified, we need to dramatically increase the number of qualified teachers. How do we start training/re-training a large number of teachers to take on this task? What online resources are needed to bring training to the thousands of teachers needed? Discussion will center on participants' ideas about what is likely to work and not work.
