Abstract #310859
Title: The Focused Information Criterion for a Mixture Cure Model
Author(s): Ingrid Van Keilegom*+ and Gerda Claeskens and Lore Dirick

Keywords: variable selection ; local misspecification ; cure model ; survival analysis ; focused information criterion
Abstract:

Of interest is the asymptotic distribution of the estimators of the parameters and baseline hazard in a mixture cure model under local misspecification. Once the asymptotic distribution is known, the MSE can be used to guide selection of variables to be included in the logistic and Cox proportional hazards parts of the model.
